Dread River is the largest, most product-diverse distillery in Alabama. At its inception, it was the most ambitious distillery ever attempted in Alabama and remains so today. In order to truly bring something exciting to Birmingham, Dread River includes with the distillery an elegant and stylish tasting room, which serves as a bar, full-service restaurant, and event venue. Per Alabama law, a business holding an alcohol manufacturer’s license may only serve products it manufactures on-site. Rather than allowing that to be a limitation, Dread River leaned into a highly bespoke cocktail experience, creating all syrups, juices, and alcoholic cordials in our kitchen and, again, offering a truly unique, elevated experience in Birmingham.
